Dharma like shape

Hi All,

It has been a fun journey scouting out the site and learning about the tools I have been enjoying so much for the past 20 years!  Very inspiring!

I am a woodworker and the idea of carrying my love for shaping into the surfboard contruction is something my wife has encouraged me to pursue.  I would like to use the craft to shape boards for my family to enjoy.  As a first project I would like to do a mini-simmons/fish concept much like the Bing Dharma:  http://www.bingsurf.com/surfboards_dharma

 

I have ridden this board a number of times and it just really handles the gutless Virginia Beach waves great!  I would be aiming for the

 

5'8" 17 1/4" 21" 171/2" 2 5/16"

 

set up.  Can anyone steer me towards a good blank for this?  I am interested in anyone's thoughts and experience on a shape like this.

5’10"RP or 6’2"A US Blanks. The longer one will allow you to best position your template on the blank according to the rocker you want. Just my two (Euro) cents.
