Diamond rails?

Theres a shaper here in Hawaii who used diamond rails a couple of years ago on one of his experimental boards, it looked fun. His name is Keoki. Ive seen it once but didnt get to try it out, nor do I know how it ended up handling . His web site is http://www.keokisurf.com/.

Ah the joys of west marin, cold, sharky and the best place ever to be a surfer for two monthes out of the year. It’s a joke now Lee, just got back from visiting the family a few weeks ago and what a scene, every forty year old with a midlife crisis has decided to start surfing instead of buying an expensive car

As far as the sandy’s boys go, they stand with their back foot on the inside corner of the board (closest to the wave) as far back as possible and their front foot on the opposite corner. Still slide a bit on the bottom turn, but the guys that are really good still get enough bite to do a small pump or two mid face when taking off. The waves have to be good though, cna’t really race any sections

No joke, it’s really good for two months out of the year. Now WHICH two month, out of Oct-Jan, is a tough question. Usually more like 10 day periods.

But you know, there’s more to life than just surfing, and living up here, tennis, windsurfing, kiteboarding, snowboarding, are all good alternatives.

Some of us even work.
