Did i Fu*k up??

So apparently i just glassed a board with RR epoxy at 40:100 by weight instead of 45:100…should i worry??? Will it fully cure…it’s got to still be more accurate than trying to do it volume because it’s not by eye right?? SHIIIITTTT. Tell me its gunna be ok.

I think things will be ok, the bottom hot coat is finally hard, took 2 hrs or so but we’re there. I just cranked up the space heater in the shaping room, cross you fingers. As far as the research i’ve done, 5% off is kinda the cusp, is this correct? I mixed really well and the room has just dipped to 70 degrees before i turned on the space heater, so we’re ok on temp as well, humidity is low too. Like i said cross your fingers…i’ll post pix. Can anyone support me on this one…we’re good right?? Similar stories/outcomes plz.

the **kup you made was to reveal your humanity to the adoring crowd.

Now you too will be lookd on as another diciple not the mesiah.

unlike all the rest though,

you will reveal the farther limits of this exciting new medium.

in history this is an oppertunity for you to be bestowed the

Title ,in all respect ,of MEDIUM or one who becomes a conduit for

greater understanding.

…ambrose…

and maybe you could contact my uncle ted,

after he passes away.

Always good to read a response from you Ambrose. And yes, the great thing about this site is how we get to grow through our sharing of experiences…and how am i to learn other than to admit i need advice, right? There is no shame in learning!!

oh, and here she is, #6…6’2 singlefin

and #5 i’m finishing up…7’6 singlefin (call it a funboard, call it a mini long, call it whatever, i’m stoked on it, my first attempt at a tint, and my first attempt at pinlines, the three tape method with posca…I let it dry for about a minute then went over it again)

We’ve been making boards at the 44:100 ratio, and they have surfed fine and held up great. I was told that

5 percent is the margin, this from Greg himself. That puts you at about 3 percent out based on total volume.

Post cure to ensure completion.

Board looks great. Some pics being surfed would be great as well.
