I put a layer of six ounce on the bottom of my board, and two layers on top, but that was two weeks ago. I haven’t had the time to throw on the sanding resin yet? Will it still adhere to the laminating resin or did I blow it and wait too long? I’m kind of stressing on this one. The shape was good, so I would hate to blow it.

Step 1. Blow off the board well. (If you don’t have an air compressor then proceed to step 2.) Step 2. Get a relatively if not a lint free white rag, and give the board a good wiping with acetone - a really good wiping. (Don’t soak the board so there’s puddles of acetone, and you might want to wear a mask, the fumes are brutal.) Step 3. After making sure that you didn’t leave too much of the rag on the board… proceed as usual. In the end I don’t know if the structure suffered from this, it may have, but the fellow who bought the board has said nothing to me. Kevin
I’ve let boards sit for months before hotcoat with no problems at all. Just blow it off like Kevin said, but I would skip the acetone part.
most stores that sell paint sell tack cloth, it’s like gauze with a sticky treatment on it that fine dust will stick to. you can wipe, you can dab, and it won’t leave any fibers.>>> I’ve let boards sit for months before hotcoat with no problems at all. > Just blow it off like Kevin said, but I would skip the acetone part.

Really, if this is true then all those lost brain cells were for not… what was I just talking about? Anyway, next its just a blow and light wipe! Thanks, Kevin

Does anyone have any experince with this happening?
premature yellowing? in the spots touched with acetone?
