I got a friend who wants to ride a 6’1-6’4 he weights in at abount 185. I was thinking that if he wants to ride this short of a board it would need to be about 20" wide and about 2.75-3.0" thick in order to provide enough floatation. I of course will be shaping it for him. Just wondering if anyone had any feedback on possible dimminsions. Anybody know what Sunny Garcia rides? Any input? Thanks Andy
why so short???
why so short??? That’s what I think! He says he like the the way it feels to him. Maybe it’s a matter of mental state Smaller the board (even by a couple of inches) the more manuverable? I was invisioning a board for him like 6’4-6’4 2 3/4 19 but he want’s it shorter. Andy

Thanks Andy Sunny’s all aound board. 6’3" 19" 2.5"
With minor rocker adjustments you could get the length he wants and still give him some volume for his 185 lbs. The 6’8"H starts at around 2 3/4". If he is a good paddler he could go with less volume, but the 6’8"H might be a good option.
