I have a ding on the bottom of my board. Its a circular pressure ding and the glass is cracked. But the crack’s is the glass are very very thin. I can feel the cracks with my finger nails so I am assuming that they leak. How can I waterproof this ding. Thanks in Advance
overboard: Sand it down and re-glass experienced: sand down to the weave, rub some styrene over the cracks until they disappear, then re-hotcoat quick & easy: spray some Future, or clear acrylic, over it. Use a couple coats. surf itch: slap some clear packing tape over it and hit the water.
be sure to put the tape on lengthwise. or buy a ding repair kit, and if the dent is deep enough, just pour some resin down in it, then sand it down later. done it dozens of times.
