Hey guys,

Just wanted to share some shots of the event today.

Dana Cummings(yellow shirt) started “Amp Surf”
He is a disabled veteran who lost his leg blow the knee.
Shown here helping a fellow amputee get some stoke!

My crew (I'm the hidden one)

If I recall correctly…Our Hero was serving in Iraq when his convoy was hit by a roadside bomb. He suffered severe head trauma.

He was such a trooper, we had to tell HIM he was tired!

There’s NOTHING you can’t accomplish…

Synergy's Dylan Bonick and THA MAN...TONY ALVA!!! Tony showed up giving out copies of Surfer to everyone.

Bravo for taking the time to help stoke out some people who really deserve a smile, Todd.  Your actions illustrate your character, and and yours is showing some serious depth.

In 1968, in Hawaii, there was a young man who lost a leg in Vietnam, who was out in big Sunset, and Makaha, that winter, with a wooden leg.    He was agressive, a little slow getting to his feet at takeoff, but quite skilled as a surfer on the wave.    He was an inspiration to all of us in the water with him.     I still marvel at him.
