hi someone can tell me what is ‘‘DNA’’ hardener and his use, and > difference from MEKP? this hardener is used for pinlining. thanks It’s DMA Pep. It’s used as a MEKP accelerator, like colbalt.Used primarily in cold weather, where regular catalyst is not enough to get a reaction. DMA or Colbalt is not to be handled carelessly.1 DROP TO A LG BATCH WILL DO!!! It will also increasing aging/browning,and can make your glass job brittle, but if it a choice between no glassing or using these additives,in colder climates,I would use them.(try some test batches first)Herb.

I want to support Herbs point about exercising “care”. Catalyst(MEKP)and promoters such as DMA and the cobalts don’t get along very well if they come in contact outside of the resin mixture or are poorly mixed into the resin- fires and explosions! I believe that is why most manufacturers now sell their resins as pre-promoted. I glass in a cold climate and find that heating the room, heating the resin and increasing the catalyst works well even for pinlines. Take care. Patrick.
