My board is done laminated and hot coated, I have cut through to the fin slots and placed the fins inside. Do I need to seal the edge with resin to keep water from getting on the layer of fiberglass that is revealed?
Pictures might help?
HUH?
I think you’re saying you installed a fin system underneath the glass layers, and have cut open the slots that receive the fins. Unless you have some third world fin system, you should be good to go. The composite material of most systems (Pro Box, FCS, or Futures…or Fins Unltd. for that matter) are closed systems impervious to water absorption or leakage.
Not withstanding some other explantion, you should be good to go.
thanks man what about sealing the entire surface with a pressure test to make sure it doesnt leak.
its all done should i do the soap and water pressure test?
