If you have such a need, I'm here to help. Guns are my favorite design of board to build. Single fin, or twin fin. Blindingly fast, proven designs.
Hey Bill – No thanks, I have a chambered 8’6" and a solid 9’8" balsa gun already (and am working on a chambered 10’2" balsa/redwood/paulownia one) but I DO need some big waves to ride boards like that. Can you mess with the weather patterns or something? Maybe arrange some 80 mph wind thing up in the Aleutians for a couple straight weeks? Greatly appreciated!
(PS Just kidding guys, Bill can make you a very nice board for winter, but now is a good time to put an order in…)
I need a special Big Big gun. Has to be wide enough for my Hover round , with wheel wells for my Hover round and some kind of locking device to fasten the Hover round so it doesnt fall off ! Maybe need a small out board motor cause I may not be able to paddle to catch a wave! This board will be used only for one wave, MY LAST RIDE !!!! I want it to be blue, I like blue!!! On second thought maybe I should wait a while cause maybe I will change my mind and not have a Hover round ! What are the names of some of those other little carts ? Or maybe I will find I can get by with just a walker !!
guns and step up are the most pleasing to the eye IMO
no breaks in the curve, just one, perfect, line
An example of the type of board described in the opening post can be seen in the form of Bird's personal nine foot (17 pound) gun, on display at BIRD'S SURF SHED, in San Diego.
Sure I could use a nice gun.
