I think you should at least offer to paypal mike what would be a reasonable amount ($50 is too high) to support this site in place of getting a copy which is of course illegal…
i’m sure someone would gladly make a copy for you to preview the movie before deciding if you want to buy it for a small donation to the Swaylocks cause.

Own it? I lived it! I was 13 and a sponger, when Free Ride came on HBO for a month. Must’ve watched it 20 times that month. The Backdoor/OTW sequences in particular grabbed me. I got a surfboard and a few years later, ended up having a very nice run of a few years at Backdoor/OTW before the crowds really started. I didn’t realize it at the time, but those years were magic. One day at OTW, in particular, around '87…still the best waves I’ve surfed. Free Ride.
