does anybody know Surftechs RAL numbers for the spray cans?

http://www.brinktechniek.nl/RAL.htm

thanks

wish I did…just try to get someone at surftech to tell you what the codes are, or even return a (local) phone call…customer service at its worst…I’m currently trying to figure out what paint to buy (or not, as the case is turning out…) to fix a couple of boards, but the surftech staff is pretty much useless…Oh and by the way, that email address for Randy French posted a while back doesn’t work!

cb,

i can let you know what the ral number for orange and yellow is when i get back home. you wanna know?

Wouter

I’m looking for the “green” on the bottom of a 3 year old 10’4" yater hp longboard…Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

If it is any help, I have some colour match numbers for Spartan auto acrylic paints. Supplied to me from Tuflite Australia. Not sure if Spartan paints are available in the USA. The colours I have numbers for are.

White, Light Grey, Cool Grey, Dark Grey, Yellow, Light Blue, Mid Blue, Dark Blue, Red and Dusty Red.

If needed, let me know and I will scan and upload the page. platty.

I fixed some dings on a friends CI tuflite flyer. He had the red and lt gray one. He ordered the cans from the website, but they did not match. I think it was because the board was a couple years old and faded. We ended up walking into Kragen auto parts with the board and finding lids of the spray cans that were close. We did not get a perfect match, but it was better than the spray cans he got from surftech.

Platty,

Please do post those numbers Platty!

We got Surftech folks here that know this stuff. Post a China thread, and out they come. Ask an actual surftech question, and nothing?

Just something else to file away in your brain when making choices.

Hi, wouter

i’ve got all the european spray colors, but some still missing as CI, Takayama …

will send you more information tomorow with the spray in the hand !

i’ve got some RAL numbers for some Colors ( price is different !! )

call up or email the board lady and see how she does it, her work on repairs and matching is awesome .if your repairing for a living go to an auto paint supplier they have a color scanner bring a big chip from board or take the whole board.lots of people want it perfect for that kind of work its not cheap if its for yourself who cares as long as the repair is excellent put a big sticker over it, good luck…

you usually have to remove a little of the outter glass for repairs on these boards so I just take a piece of glass with some paint on to the store and match the colour, it helps to have a pantone colour chart also.

haha! so f-cking true… come on guys, answer the damn thread…are those crickets i hear???

Here are the numbers. I hope they will be ledgable when expanded. I think these no’s are for 1litre batches. So your paint suppliers will need to convert to imperial measurements. They do need some tweeking to match the board. I have found the Tuflite paint jobs to fade over time. The white seems to be the worst. platty.

Well…I’m hiding a big ole crack that I fixed - a redwood branch came down on the board while it was on my roof during a storm (dumb to leave it on the racks during a storm, I know)…and the force of the branch impact pushed my racks up through the deck! It didn’t break the board (surftech folks, are you taking notes? You can pay me later for doing research!)…Anyway, I decided to just paint a big hawaiian floral stripe across the repaired cracks with “surftech s&$ks” in tasteful font centered across the deck. I don’t need any codes for that…Thanks for all the tips, however!
