Does anyone make a 6 1/2" center tri-fin that fits a bayne box

This would make it possible to use your board as a standard tri-fin ,or a single.

I think rainbow fin co. does. I’ll check when I get out to the shop tomorrow, if nobody else speaks up!

If you mean a standard center box, either short or

long there are lots of fins out there.

futures has hi-po fins in the 6" range or smaller and there

are others that are in the size you are looking for.

Also, True Ames has lots, check out the Wayne Rich 6.5"

or the Cal Classic 6.5". The SmallBox fins are interesting

also, as well as the SmallBox overhangs.

A really good fin, foiled perfectly and my personal fave

in all sizes is the Fiberglass Fin co. fin (hello Larry)

and you can get them here too in the 6.5" size:

and the people are great! There are others out there

if you look, sometimes the selections boggle the mind!!

Best luck!

So I’m not sure if I get it.I want to design a board that has future boxes on the sides and a bayne ,“or standard box” for the center. This way I can use it as a standard single fin or traditional tri.So what I really need to know is can I fit a standard 6 1/2" shortboard tri fin in a bayne box so that it is positioned to line up with the sides properly?

Wouldn’t a standard center positioned future box be set too far back to be used as a standard single fin setup?

I have a brand new really nice brown hawaiian print one from island glass (Steve Mock) I haven’t figured out a use for yet.

I’ll have to measure it but if you actually make your board you can have it. I guess it would be my contribution to the Swaylocks vibe… I’m always excited to actually see someone here actually build something rather than to spend half their lives either analyzing or talking about how they will build it… The more you build the more you learn why the masters are the masters at this craft…

You can use the smaller boxes with these types of fins as well…

Just let me know when you are done…

Hi ekim, Here’s a set-up using a 6.5 center, one of many that I produce at Fibre Glas Fin. Thanks Surfteach for thinking of me. Mahalo, Larry

Hi Ekim , I had a dozen smart ass answers for your question but the good guys stepped it up to help you out. Gotta love Swaylocks!

People like to know your location. Not your home town just a general area…

I use the Bayne center fin boxes. I also use the High Surf boxes that I get from Probox Larry. Both are a good product. I’m sure Larry has the fins you need.
