Does anyone sell balsa blanks in Hawaii? Any info would be great!
There use to be a guy from Equadore with a van that hang around Sunset Beach that use to sell them. I met the guy at Jim Yarlbough house at Sunset Point. If you know any of the ghost shaper for Brewer, they might be able to help. Mike Casey some times will glue up a bunch. (He is at the Wailua Sugar Mill). He will sometimes buy a lot of balsa wood and share the cost with other board builders. I got mine in from www.balsaflite.com.
I kind of loss touch with the balsa suppliers. Some guys buy the planks on-line and glue up their own. I buy small pieces for making fins and skins!
