I’ve heard that resin goes bad after about 6 months. Anyone know if that’s true, and how about UV resin? p.s. Hey Tom!

So, yes resin does go bad. It is best to contact the manufacturer for shelf life. Also, laminating resin has a longer life span, once you mix surfacing agents and stuff…then the life becomes shorter.

You can make polyester resin, UV included, last much longer by protecting it from light and heat. I keep mine in my clothes closet. It doubles the lifespan over keeping it in the garage.

In a steel lockable cabnet,in a cool and generally dark place. Also keep your additives in a separate place.Herb.
Yes. I have had to twist off can screw tops with vise grip because the resin crystalized. Always test older resin before you use it. Storing resin in the recommended enviroment helps.>>> I’ve heard that resin goes bad after about 6 months. Anyone know if > that’s true, and how about UV resin?>>> p.s.
