dogtown/zephre

I saw dogtown and Z-boys last night, and I must say It was one the best documentary’s I have ever seen. Those guys were core to the bone. It made me appreciate them even more when one of them said " we are surfers first and foremost". everything else seemed to evolve around that fact. Never knew Allen Sarlo was on the zephre team. I remember seeing pictures of him in SURFER quite a few years ago. Don’t seem to hear much out of Jeff Ho. According to the movie, he still shapes. Don’t see many Zephre’s around. Does he still shape full time or is he just keeping it low key? And about Jay Adams, It’s too bad all his talent did’nt get him anywhere but jail. Anyways, just some thoughts on a very well put together movie. Check it out sometimes.

I saw a chubby Chinese dude waiting for pizza in Wahiawa a few years ago, asked him if he was Jeff Ho, and he said yes. He had been shaping on the North Shore for the past few years, but I heard he went back to Cali. He had a few boards in the Surf N Sea shop, I really liked the looks of his short winged swallow fish looking boards.
