I always thought it was the skin that dolphins had…
it’s an acrylic finish that’s intended to be a shortcut to getting a nice glossy shine. they say it gives the same look as a g&p, but without all the work…“just wipe on and wipe off”. although, since it’s acrylic, it will wear off over time. if you want the shine, you’re better off doing a g&p. or if you’re willing to settle for “good enough”, just polish up your hotcoat a little. i’d do either of those before using dolphin skin (it caught my attention some time ago just the same way it got yours…but i didn’t get suckered into going for a “shortcut”…as with most things, you get out of it what you put into it).
