double foiled keels

Hi All,

I’ve searched websites and archives for the past week and need some help. Does anyone have a source for double foiled fiberglass glass on keel fins? They’re for my latest (secret) project. Thanks in advance.

i am ginna be rthechipster to this. make your own. not hard wood cores are really easy to make i did it by hand, inside concave foil and then no flat spots. no pictures i don’t live with my babies.

I came across this post recently while researching my own keel fin project: http://www.swaylocks.com/forum/gforum.cgi?post=157497;search_string=70%2F30;#157497. In it, PlusOneShaper says keel fins should be foiled more on the outside face than on the inside. Like 70/30.

I haven’t seen any fiberglass double foiled keels. But, I usually make my own. Pretty easy to make with plywood and fun, too. Mike

A set of Rainbow Fins for the Lokbox system on Wetsand. They offer either a symetrical foil or an asymetrical foil. Symetrical being what you’re looking for.

Contact Rainbow Fins. They will make you a set of double-foiled fiberglass glass-ons in any template you want.

Good luck.
