dry patches////

what is the best way to repair any dry spots in the cloth that appear after laminating??? i have most troubles when it comes to the deck layers. should i hit with some lam.resin, let it soak in,then continue on??? any help////////

hopefully somone sees this:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::[smile])

As long as you have not let your lamination set too long, you can easily come back and hit the spots with some more lam resin. If your lamination has set for awhile the chances of the lam drawing in more resin will be limited. More experienced glassers probably have some tricks for this like maybe thinning your laminating batch out with some styrene, but don’t quote me on that. I usually go back after the lam has started to set to check out any areas that need to be touched up. It is much easier to take care of trouble spots early rather than later.

thanks mike,anyone else??

thanks mike,anyone else?? …just brush on some stryene before you hotcoat.The stryene with rise as the hotcoat dries pulling resin back in it’s place.If it’s really dry use lam resin first.Herb
