Paul, you took the words right out of my mouth…
Hey Lee, You did something super here. Will you put fin boxes in it? If so what kind? This thing looks like it’s really gonnabefun and real challenge to surf well when it gets over head. One thing’s sure it’s a bird! Waytago, Rich
Hot Digadie Damn,Lee that thing looks like a power pocket beast. It looks just like my edgeboard.Duncan and Chris Brock and George did some flextails like this when GG sailed to the south seas in the late 70s,after Crystal Voagager.SoooCooool.(9’'g 10 aims fin.you will crack up how it banks over on the rail.later KP.
I love Newbalonie … have fun
Thanks…Its still sitting in the bedroom unglassed…It came out too good to do it myself so I have to refill the toy kitty and have a pro do it… Newbs
Hey Lee the way you blended the edges to the nose and tail is just how PG did my 7’o’',also the foil and S deck are the same.Good Luck and keep us up to date .
Kirk: The tail turned out that way totally by accident…the edges were supposed to end up going off the corners of the arc but I had a little negative rocker right at the tail block. After straightening that out, I had nowhere to put the edges except to blend them into the tail (plus it looked nicer that way too). Great to hear it might work. I have never seen one of these sticks, only photos in Surfers Journal of George’s board hanging in some art gallery, John Mellor’s stuff in archives and some photos of Charlie Coffee’s boards. I was in SB last Thursday so I stopped in at the Beach House to check out some Wilderness’. Bobs stuff is pretty subtle now except for a flex-spoon kneeboard. Anyway, I seemed to have lucked into doing it right. (It was pretty cool that afternoon, I saw Rennie Yater…I’ve got so much respect for that guy…low key, just shut up and let your work to the talking…he did it right). I’ll let everyone know how it works… Newbs
