What brand of EPS actually the better EDRO EPS?
Insulfoam uses the EDRO process in their foams. Multiple factories around the US. Do a search and you should be able to track down something nearby.

I just found some Insulfoam EPS at Lowes (eastern NC). Picked up a 2" and a 1" sheet. They also had 1/2" and 3/4" in stock and they had the blue XPS foam in several thicknesses.

Is there a company that sells premade blanks with stringers from this EDRO EPS foam?
Or can you only buy it just as a block of foam that you have to hotwire a rocker out of, or thinner sheets (like those from Lowes) that you bond together to get the thickness needed, and then put a stringer or perimeter stringers in/on youself?
www.sfoam.com these guys are in the classifieds on the front page of swaylocks
Ah thanks. Saw insulfoam in the archs somewhere but thought it was generic xerox type name for rigid insulation.
hi guys
does anybody happen to know where to get that stuff in Europe or the UK?
Cheers
Klaus,
The makers of the equipment are in Italy. I don’t fully recall, but think they might be spelled IDRO there. I do remember that I phoned several places around the USA, and Euroupe before I located the product. It turned out that I had been using it all along from Insulfoam. The well fused old tech is as good , or better, than a poor batch of EPS blown with EDRO equipment. Oh yeah, I just noticed,…Welcome!

Klaus, are you looking for EPS for surfboards or EDRO machines?
i’m looking for a producer in europe or preferably the uk which uses the edro machinery as if i understand it correctly this eps has a higher quality
I don’t know if their blocks are made in an EDRO machine, but check www.atuacores.com, they are really specialized in EPS blanks for surfboards (tailor-cut to your specifications or not) and the foam is of high quality. You might like it, they ship all over Europe… I don’t think the EDRO machines are the only ones to be able to make good quality EPS, as this depends more on how the beads are pre-processed, then packed (in a cold machine or an already hot machine after a few blocks, etc…). Block selection is also important in a batch.
