Effect of moving up front fins only?

I just picked up a new 6’2, identical to others I have, but when I was double checking the dimensions I caught something odd- the front FCS plugs had been placed 1/2 " further up towards the nose than usual. Otherwise spot-on. I can’t get ahold of the guy for a while, so I’m wondering the effect of the move-up. Usually I’ve just had experience moving the back fin around. What should be the effect of moving only the front ones up? I might return it if I’m not comfortable with the answer, thinking it might be an error by a new glasser.

Fins are usually put on by glasser to the shapers mark so ride it trust your shaper and enjoy. A half an in might make a difference might not might go better

fins moved forward initiate turn sooner along waterline loosen up feel of board turning if trailer is moved up too cluster in tact yes looser

if traileer dropped back ,staying traditional distance from tail [3’'? ] "wheelbase of fins spread tighten up turning making it stiffer more stable at speed in bigger waves

you can hit it harder before spinning out, drifting,or otherwise losing forward directional speed …ambrose…ride it for twenty water hours with an open mind you might break throough to realms few have gone before

ask the shaper ? Rationalizing response? Intentional design quest? mismark read ? all of which could result in a spontaneous concept board wax it ride it

…ambrose… ride the first ten waves prone to feel the sweetness

yea ambrose has it …

i reckon itll be to stiff for your liking …

love the carve , hate the hook …

TD,

Where are all three fins placed? Or, how far apart are the fronts relative to the center?
