Hey folks, There’s a new movie for sale in the classifieds, it’s called “El Camino Real.” It was made by an old friend and it documents his amazing journey driving from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego at the tip of South America with his wife Patty and their friends – the late Craig Kelly and his girlfriend Sevina. Told in a tone reminiscent of Bruce Brown’s “The Endless Summer” the film is genuinely funny, entertaining and, in the end, inspiring. It may be a low budget production, and it may not have much in the way of Kelly & Co surfing, but, in my opinion, that only contributes to it’s charm. Ultimately, this film is about so much more than slick surfing footage – it’s about the soul and the search. And for the money, it’s one entertaining ride. nice to get a review. I almost didn’t read that ad because I thought it was a very used car for sale, ha ha. Maybe it’s just me but I wish ads to sell stuff would list the cost…?
I’ve seen the film and it is inspiring. It is a real film about real surfers doing what we all dream about every day. It inspired me to depart on a surf exploration of my own. I definitely recommend.
