Can somebody please tell me how graphics are done on an epoxy board? I can’t figure it out and I can’t find any info on how it’s done. Thanks
“After wrapping the core with fiberglass fabric, we saturate the board with epoxy resin and then place it in finish molds. These finish molds contain our thermoformed (P.V.T.) top sheet material. The top sheet has been screen-printed with the board’s graphics on the underside so that when the graphics are applied, they appear underneath the top sheet and cannot be scuffed off. The molds are closed, placed into hydraulic presses and heated to cure the epoxy resin.”
This is from the NSP website http://www.newsurfproject.com/construction.html
Not sure if this is universal or not, but its something

For a homebuilt epoxy board, try spray or posca on the sanded board, then cover with clear spray, another hotcoat, varnish, etc. You can also print on ricepaper and lam it in as usual. Tom S. reported that he had luck with spraying an EPS board spackled with epoxy and diamatolus(or whatever) earth, a pool filler of some sort. You can also do all kinds of resin artwork, tints, opaques, tigerstrips, splashes, swirls, etc. You can also use a normal PU blank, spray as normal and glass with epoxy.
