It’s been done for a week. Any idea on how long before first use? What could happen if too soon?
i always heard to give it a week…i give epoxy 10 days…too soon = pressure dents b/c resin not fully cured

It was ready the day you finished sanding it. No green board syndrome with epoxy. If it is cured enough to sand it is ready to surf.
Yep i agree with Cmphawaii, epoxy reaches over 90% of its mechanical charateristics in 24/48h depends on the temperature, type of resin and catalizer you use, than to go 100% it takes 2 or 3 weeks but you wont notice the difference.
