Epoxy PinLine/Inlay Question, Help Please.

I have done a couple cloth inlays and whenever I try and pinline where the board meets the fabric after the hotcoat but before the gloss coat the epoxy resin doesnt bond well to the paint I use, Tempra. I have tried scuffing it and a couple other tricks but nothing seems to work.

Any ideas?

I was thinking of just painting a pinline over the fabric and board with the createx I use and then just glassing over it. Don’t think that will look as nice though.

option 2, do a resin pinline, but I think that the pinline may need to be 1/4" on this one as the fabric seemed to expand once I wet it, and that might be too think for resin pinline.

If i hear you right tape off then use a paint pen. Posca. I know a few factory’s that gloss with poly. It works. I heard of guys hotcoating with poly even in maui… if the paint layer is thin it should work. To much paint screws with Epoxy and poly.
