epoxy resin quantities

hi epoxy users !

What quantity will I need to glass a 6’9 x 20" x 2 1/2 " polyurethane blank, please ? [It’s the ‘stringerless’ I mentioned sooo long ago !]

I want to do 2 layers 6oz on the deck, and 1 layer 6 oz on the bottom . The nose and tail will be around 13-15" and 13- 14 " respectively , if this helps !

thanks for your information / help !

Hey Chipsfish 61,

You will need a maximum of 3 quarts of resin/hardener mix to laminate the board and hot coat it.

Be sure to do your lay ups with the temperature around 70 to 75 degrees preferably with the temperature droping.

how many millilitres [mls] in 3 ‘quarts’ , I wonder ?

…what was that site for [metric] conversions, again, anyone ?

cheers !

1 US quarts = 0.94635295 liters

1 U.S.A. quart = 946mls ? or is my maths wrong ?

So, under 3 litres to lam AND hotcoat a 6’9 board ?!

Sounds GREAT to me ! […WHY didn’t I do this before, I wonder ???]

IF adding tint, would I need to adjust the hardener quantity / resin quantity, or not ?

thanks for your help !
