Epoxy Squeegees

I’m using the Bondo spreaders with the thin plastic blade myself. Has anyone come across anything better?

In Portugal we made them from 1/2" thick cork…Worked great…

Tapered edge, the whole thing…As organic as it gets…

Herb turned me onto vertical window blinds, the 3" wide things…Cut 'em to length…They work great…

I use 1/8" balsa. Round off the edge you plan to use as the squeege. No need to use solvents to clean, just wipe it off with a paper towel after each use. It starts to work better as a thin film of resin builds up on it. Occasionally the edge must be wiped across a flat sanding block to ensure that it stays flat as a resin film builds up on it. I have used the same scrap of balsa for over 60 laminations with no problem.

You know how rubber squeegees get stiff over time if you don’t soak them in aceatone, find a really old one.

What wrong with Bondo spreaders? They work great for me.

Just wondering if there was something even better.
