Was just flippin’ channels on TV and came across a station in espanol. Couldn’t understand much except Luis Alberto Cruz (Campeon de Surf) exclaiming, “Fantastico!” after doing a headstand on one of those “ULI” inflatable boards. Some of the footage showed guys getting OK rides. That segment was followed by some really long rides - tidal bore surfing on a river somewhere - being done on conventional short boards. Wish I could have understood better what was being said. I know, kind of weird but better than reading about user dave stealing stuff.
John: You were probably fortunate to not understand the dialogue. I caught one of those late night slightly dated shows about a WCT event. The surfing was great. The dialogue, however, left one wondering about the merits of home schooling. I hope the WCT is responsible and advises their surfers about the merits of a good business manager. It would be a shame to see such talented young people end up with nothing. Patrick
