fcs curved fins

hi cuttlefish !

I've been out of acttion for a while [no computer] , so I only just saw this today...

.....It's funny you should ask , and I see this today ...because ....I rode them as twinnys today [yep , no back fin?!]. Someone here had asked me [ a few years back now ] if I had tried that setup , so I was keen to find out / feel it for myself !

I also rode four of them [a curved quad setup] , at a good bank north of here , a week ago **...

'Lokbox' here [and at forum.surfermag] has always said they work well as quads , and I certainly enjoyed them that day !! [surfed myself [more] stupid [than ever] THAT day , THAT'S for sure !!!]

I also took shots , and  6 seconds of footage, of 'Stuey'... on his curved fin board . Plus , he was also surfing on my 6'1 orange stub , with the  'widowmaker' setup. This was because  he has just made himself one [not yet glassed ] , and was keen to feel how they go ...he LOVED it !!

'Cuttley' , for sure !! go ahead and buy them .... and, please ... let me know how they go in your epic rights !

  cheers mate

** they felt fast , and with good thrust and grip off the bottom , and pretty 'lively' [for want of a better word!] in the pocket and off the lip. [...me likey velly much !]

I have a lost RNF that I got as a hand me down from a pro, no fins included

The fins were set back further, than normal, so I was guessing that it was meant to be ridden as a twin fin. The board is only 5’4 x 19 3/8 x 2 3/16 with a narrower tail than the stock models. The tail was more like a normal hpsb and isn’t especially thick either, so I thought the MR twins would be far too big for it.

Because the fins were set further back, I tried it out first with the fcs PC 3’s, though usually too small for me, the held well and turned well, but they didn’t project this board like I thought it felt like it should. it also lost that skaty feel (i’ve had several of these before and those two characteristics are how i characterize that model)

At any rate, I tried the h2 mediums after that. I’ve felt like these have been real good in other RNF shapes i’ve had as they increase the skate but also enhance the carve. But they felt abnormally sticky when put that far back on the board.

So my friend let me try the Webber Curves. Well, it was just what the board ordered. I got that skate feeling and drive back, loose like a twin, but far more responsive and so far has held great in carves.

Here is a set of the old ones on a bellyboard...
