FCS fins for a quad

Hey would anyone know what FCS fins I would use for a quad fin set up? I am thinking i would use either the MRX or TF-1 for the forward fins but am not surf about the back fins. I know I want to use center fins but jus don’t know the modle fin. Thanks for your help.

you shouldnt need mrx or tf1 for your fronts if you are going with a quad design. Your fin area is going to increase more than what you want to. On the fronts you should go with any conventional tri-fin set…ie GAM, G5, etc. For the back use the smaller sets like GL, GX, GS.

Howzit livingwaersurf, Did a quad fish a few weeks ago and the guy used GX’s and G-3000’s.Aloha,Kokua

Thanks for the reply. that was a great help. I spoke with FCS and they suggested to use the MRX and c5’s. That did not seem to be a good set up to me. I guess they wanted to make some money.

Hey, hopefully someone can help.

Im picking up a kane garden 6’4" larry m twinzer fish tomorrow but the bloke who’s selling it doesn’t have the original fins.

Shes coming with fcs plugs but does anyone out there have one and would be so good as to let me know what the original fins are.

Any help appreciated.

check out surffcs.com under the performance glass section. there is a LM-T template, i am sure it is the larry mabile template for twinzers. hope this helps.

Thanks, for the quick response and the info

TF-1’s in the back and I have the template for the front fins, if you want to make a set.

Thanks boy.

After looking at a few shots I thought the tf 1’s were a bit big for a twinzer but il try anything.

Very curious to hear what the original fins were though, respect to Larry M’s notions and all.

You should have drove to Dublin, would have been worth driving back down the east coast tomorrow

I just got a set of FCS SF4’s which is their Stretch Quad Set. Attached pics of them. They are new enough I’m not sure they are on the FCS website yet.

Doesn’t look like theres a big diference in size between the 2, be interested to hear how they ride though.

High-pockets,

The rears are foiled on both sides and use center plugs.

The TF-1 are exactly the same as the LM Twinzer rears, I put both sets back to back, no difference.

Might have a go at our favourite spot tomorrow for a dawnie, but the bouy is only reading 5m at the moment.

THings are looking promising for the weekend for you. Bring back that fish in 1 piece please!

Dont know bout promising “interesting” might be a better work for it, thinking of heading even a little further north, sur when your up that far…

Enjoy the morning, should be something there at least
