fcs plugs $4?

Saw a post from 2002 about being able to buy fcs plugs direct from fcs at wholesale price.

The cheapest I can find is $4 each at fiberglasssupply. Then with shipping even more.

Anyone have a cheaper supplier or suggestion?

I had the same surprise in Holland. 2,5 to 4 euro.

Thinking of making them myself, but need some long screws with the same thread.

Hard to find in a metric country. I know I can make them lighter, stronger and stiffer.

If only I could find those screws…

Howzit rick, FCS now sells a thruster plug set for $12.00 which means $2.00 a plug. Most retailers mark up products 100% ergo $4.00 a plug. Find a builder with a FCS account and he can get them cheaper for you. If I need extra plugs I buy them in sets for 4 boards since FCS has them prepacaged that way. This is better than when they sold the plugs for $2.50 a plug which would mean a shop was selling them for $5.00 a plug. You could also open your own account with FCS but you nedd a wholesale license and they requie you to purchase at least $ 300.00 worth of fin sets for your first order and that gets you free shipping. After your first order there is no minimum amount to order but in order to get the free shipping ( UPS ) you need to order $300. They also have a discount system based on how many sets you order in a year.Aloha,Kokua
