Had the ro 150 for 4 years, and a protool vacuum. Also using the router and triangle sanding mouse. Not a reusable bag, yet. I emptied my bags with another vac without a bag. Get it? Awesome gear, nut indeed a bit slow, unless like bb says you have perfect shapes and tight lams. For me, dust was a no go and this baby is great! Use a wooden straight block with 100 grit for the first wobblies, then the Festool forth rest.
Plus one…
gbzausa, The planer is a single blade, doesn’t work. Years ago, a Festool VP came here and we showed him what was needed in a shaping planer and he had a 2-bladed prototype made for testing. Unfortunately, the cutter head was misaligned and it was sent back. They dropped the project, the VP is now gone, and we never got the proto back. However, the stock planer is good for wood and converts to a joiner with a stand.
Charlie, the vacuum unit relay is set to match the current draw of the Festool tools. Over the years, the plug receptacle wore out on mine and I redid the whole thing including the relay/contactor. I really glad you like the Bosch and I’ll see if I can make you a vac adapter to fit the Festool hose directly. PM me and let me know if you want straight up or right angle. The hose is really expensive, and has internal grounding so no static shocks with the planer. It’s best to get it off the floor using a boom arm or bungee from the ceiling. Get the Dust Deputy and you’ll just be emptying a bucket rather than that bag.
