Filling type ding repair

Hope someone can help. More times than not when I have to fill a repair with Qcell I seem to get an air bubble that becomes a small crater after going off. So I am forced to mix up another tiny batch to fill this little hole. How can I remedy this situation?

fill the ding in small amounts till you get to the surface. Then take a toothpick and go thru the cabisol to break up any air bubbles, let dry and sand smooth.

use a mix that is more a slurry than a stiff paste ( molasses , not peanut butter consistency) , mask off a cofferdam/mold over the ding and pour it in very slowly, letting all the air out. Let your masking tape mold rise up a little proud of the board surface, so any bubbles that do form will be sanded away anyhow.

leastways, that’s how i do it…

hope that’s of use

doc…

Mix it thinner and not very hot. Don’t try and fill too deep and mask it off like Doc says.
