A workmate recently gave me a shortboard that has a box/fin type that I have never seen. Can anyone give me some information on this FCS-like fin box?

Definitely a Guidance Fin. Oddly enough, your board looks a lot like the one I have with a Guidance Fin. I guess they’re not so rare afterall.
Hey Rachel - does your board have any identification as to who might have shaped it? My board looks like it has had a face lift (that went bad!) so any traceability has been removed. Additionally, even though this board is of shortboard dimensions, it actually has a stepdeck feature built into the rocker?? Does your board have this as well?
