Fin Placement 2+1

Hi Guys

I have just finished glassing my 6’4 rounded pin.

Was wanting to have a 2+1 setup for the fins (see pics)

Couple of questions:

  1. Can someone give me a rough fin placement guide - centre fin box placement; side fin placement etc.

  2. Has any one installed this fin system (see pics) - I am not sure on correct procedure - the two small lugs at end of system confuse me :slight_smile: - do I cut them off?

  3. I am assuming I do the fins before the hot coat.

center box anywhere from 3 - 6" from tail

side bites 1/2 to 1" from front of center box to rear of side box

side bites 1 1/4 from rail toed in 1/8 to 1/4"

the closer the cluster the looser the board

place them where you think they look right

side boxes look to be new fcs maybe you need a routing jig?
