Hey All,
Posted this on Surfermag design forum and just want to get as much feedback as possible…
Tragedy struck a few
weeks ago the day after the NE snow storm–Sunday for the NE guys–(as
you can see in the pic below)—surf was solid foot overhead or so and
super fun.
Here is the story…caught a number of waves and just
felt that the fin setup was a bit off and decided right before I
snapped it that I was going to sell it (sucks!). After swimming in and
taking a break before going back out. I decided that I love the shape,
but the fin set up was definitely off and probably contributed to my
dislike of it (as well as the rails and rocker—turned them down a bit
too much and used the wrong blank…bit too much curve).
Anyway, I
am again going to make a 5’11” (maybe even a 5’9"…we’ll see)…anyone
able to give me the fin placement measurements (rear, front, from the
rail, from the tail, etc…something specific)? Also would like to know
how far up from the wing is the rear of the fin placement…all help is
appreciated!
Always appreciate everyone’s help! Thanks!
