I have an original Dyno fish with fins that have a 7" base, 5" height and 1.5" rake. The are single foiled and toed slightly.
I recently rode a Tyler fish which had fins with approximately an 8.5" base, 4.5" height and 1" rake. These are also single foiled and toed slightly.
I recently shaped my own fish which is just a tad over 6’ and I am trying to decide whether I want to go with a fin template similar to the Tyler or the Dyno. Because the Dyno is too small for me (it is a 5’5") I have not been able to ride it to guage whether I like the fins.
Can someone help me out in predicting how the Dyno fins would work as compared to the fins on the Tyler? For instance, is one template going to have more drive? Be less likely to spin out? Which will work better for a big guy (200+ lbs)?
Thanks in advance.
