What’s good center size fin size for a 9’6" longboard with side biters. It’s the Takayama Noserider model.
What’s good center size fin size for a 9’6" longboard with side > biters. It’s the Takayama Noserider model… Try something around 7" for all around use and maybe 9" if you want to do more noseriding.
Even better: Grind down (or remove) the side bites and put in a ten inch Wingnut Big Daddy by Fins Unlimited. It’ll change your whole ride. You’ll be smoother, noseride better, and get all the girls on the beach fired up. Plus, it’s fun to hear people say “holy sh–” when they see the size of it (the fin, that is). It takes up every single inch of the fin box. 60 bucks.
for a tri fin set up, sport an 7 inch cutaway model. You’ll be real zippy. HOWEVER, it sounds like the board longs to be ridden with only a single fin. In which case I’d go with a Wingnut long rake…say maybe 9.5" or 10". Or you might even try the Harbour HP cutaway
Really? The side biters are glass-ons. Are you suggesting that I grind those suckers down? I actually prefer single fins and have a few in my quiver but trying to make this Takayama modelwork for me. Kimo, How big are the side bites? You could modify them a little and with the right center fin you’d have the best of both worlds-- at least it’s worth a try before you grind them off completely.I’ve got some ideas for you. Rich
