Just finished my new bay under my house. Love it, 8.5’ x 13.5’ with 8’ ceilings. had to shape a board right away. took me 6 months to dig and build. Worth it!
Thanks to everyone on this site for posting all the photos and info to get it done. Would not have done it without you. Now if i can just get my vac. system instaled i can not worry about the dust so much.
It appears you put a lot of hard work into it and it definitely paid off. By the looks of your board, you obviously already know what you’re doing and I’m sure you’ll have a blast having the space to shape right under your house. My shack is in the backyard and it’s known as the time machine. Once I enter, what I thought was a half hour turns out to be a couple hours. My wife suggested I put a phone in there so she can call from the house, but I don’t think that’s gonna happen anytime soon.
Yea i have shaped for a while, that was my 156th board. But to have the bay at my house is a dream come true. it was also my first custom bay and with no building background it took a while. and you are absolutely right about time… it goes away down there. I just put my iphone head phones on with earmuffs over and shape to the music if someone calls to surf i can bail. It is a hobby that has gotten out of control. I love it
