don't know how to post pic's? can anybody show me how?
I would really like to build and shape a balsa board, short board to start , maybe 6’ 3" ? Would anyone be willing to help me out? show me the ropes ? How much balsa ? redwood for stringers? cedar? I have seen some videos but they do not really cover all the steps or material needed. I live in Culver city , CA. Maybe Bill Thrailkill would be willing to walk me through it!?
Look forward to any help I can get.
You might start by searching this website for the many discussions on balsa builds. For instance, there’s a thread going right now titled “balsa pros and cons”. Asking your questions as a followup to an unrelated topic is not a good way to get what you’re after.
???
do you know how to post pics? im having problems posting pics.
Go to the bottom of the page. Below the box that’s labeled “comment” you will see a link labeled “file attachments”. Click that and go from there.
I down loaded pics and try to add image and nothing happens

I had a hunch it was you. Not too many shapers from Moiliili. Nice work. Did you ride it yet? Bring it out to Three's.
Go to his blog linked first post and look to the right and down a wee bit there is a cluster of thumbnail pics. The board is there and just click on them one at a time…

It's so fun shaping the ''runoff'' area of those channels and praying the whole rail doesn't break off in your hand....
I really like how you let the intersection of the channel do it's own thing on the outline, great geometry there.
Gives a new definition to ''deep six''.
yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
that thing looks insane!
