Having a yak with Chip yesterday and he mentioned he would like to get hold of fins that have different fittings…Like Futures, Probox, Locbox etc…
He’s got over 200 fins to play with and would like to try making them with different bases…
If anyone has a sample they can spare could you PM him and he will give you his address…

Spoke to Chip today and he said he’d love one as long as you were willing to sacrifice it by putting FCS tabs on it…
Only two glass ones left Hicksy, both spoken for, plumbing pipe does the trick and a few drops of resin is all it takes to glue them on
I have the old wooden/kevlar/graphite ‘spitfire’ fin from my original 12 footer, no tabs though (glass on only), and it’s more of a longboard fin, but it’s been sitting in my draw for ages doing nothing so could do with a home.

to clarify …
all my fins have fcs tabs [hence my other post on who wants some homemade fcs fins ]
but i was thinking , for the future , when i lay up fin panels , i can leave the bases ‘uncut’ , and people can shape their own futures / lokbox/ red-x or whatever tabs into them .
Or , if , as hicksy suggested ,
someone could send me a spare futures fin and box , a spare lokbox fin and box , or red-x or whatever other system , then [if it’s allowed, that is ??] I could have a go at making some of THOSE system-compatable fins .
anyways , if anyone is able to wants to , by all means ‘p.m.’ , and I’ll give you my address.
