FINS:PERFORMANCE DIFFERENCES

CAN ANYONE OUT THERE EXPLAIN TO ME THE DIFFERENCES IN PERFORMANCE BETWEEN A CONVENTIONAL RAKED(DOLPHIN TYPE)FIN,THE CUTAWAYS, AND A HATCHET TYPE FIN…???THANKS AND HAPPY AND PEACEFUL HOLIDAYS…PEACE.JER…

compared to the normal longrake fin. cutaways turn better. smaller fins always turn better but dont hold in as well. larger fins are harder to turn and you get more drive. the hatchet fin is just a beast. it will hold in well for noseriding. i havent used one, but my friend claims that it’s much harder to turn his board… however his noseriding ability has improved. personally, i like the noseriding fins. so i use hawaiian pro designs 9.5" Model T fin… which i believe is a replica of an old david nuuhiwa fin. it will hold in through nearly anything and keeps the board really stable… i havent noticed much of a sacrifice in turning either. good luck with the fins. -steve>>> CAN ANYONE OUT THERE EXPLAIN TO ME THE DIFFERENCES IN PERFORMANCE BETWEEN > A CONVENTIONAL RAKED(DOLPHIN TYPE)FIN,THE CUTAWAYS, AND A HATCHET TYPE > FIN…???THANKS AND HAPPY AND PEACEFUL HOLIDAYS…PEACE.JER…
