First board I have bought since 1973 (or so)...

…as I made them all… And then, two weeks ago, I walk into a surf shop looking for a wetsuit for my son…

And here it was… 9’4" Hansen pintail with 50/50 pinched rails all the way from the nose to the tail, water-green tint with double white pinline (which is there truly just for the beauty of it, since the cutlap is perfect). What’s more, it’s been shaped by Craig HOLLINGSWORTH (or at least signed by him but I like to believe that he did shape it). Great board. I just couldn’t resist and broke out some heavy cash… (I might have built the same -well, not quite- for 1/3rd the price…) But no regrets… Waiting for some free time in my schedule and some good waves to give it a try but it’s so beautiful that I postpone the moment I have to wax it…

Just had to share it…

ahhhh, nice!

i know the feeling, balsa. after fifteen years of riding my own boards, i walked into a shop a few years back & bought a 9’6" signature model by tom wegener. couldn’t resist. no regrets.

That’s good to hear…

So you mean that it does happen to others?

Wow! I think the word is bitchin’ on that one for sure. One where you wish just didn’t have to wax it.

I have ridden this board before, they are pretty fun.

Wow - you have a high ceiling. Nice board!

John, the photo was taken in my parents house (which is ours now, after my father’s passing). It’s one of the oldest in town, dating back to 18… something… Hence the high ceiling, I guess…

Balsa,

Nice find…really good looking board!!! It would be hard for me to wax that beauty, but when you get that difficult task done…enjoy it!!!
