1.first off do more research, a vague question will only get a vague answer. sorry for saying it but there is lots of good stuff in the archive. research resear then research some more, print off guilds from the intenet, watch some vids, look at surfboards and go surfing.
2. where to buy? really depends where you live and what sort of boards you want to make.

Buy Gloss coat, or home mix gloss from lam resin, amount depends on the size of the board (very good recent posts try typing “gloss coat” into the search box!!

how much does a show room board cost??? the same made at home 1/3 - 2/3 the price of a show room board, but don’t forget you got to buy tools also, if only making one board can work out the same, as buying a new board. and your first attempt may not be that good. have you thought about reparing a second hand board before you get in to shapping???

down load the instruction manuall from the Clark web site. for a start, very useful.
