First Build Thread: Longboard Reshape to (“Double Ender”) Two Tailed Egg

That’s a great design. I designed something similar in the 90’s called a “tunnel hull”. A single center concave starting starting about 2’ down from the nose, and widening between the fins thru the tail. This was a 10’6" with the nose pulled in, hard rails, with a winged swallow tail. It was shaped by Norman Dale Ervin of T-Street Surfboards in San Clemente. It was the fastest board I had even ridden, and perfect for the biggest days.

That board looks sick! I’ve been itching to try out a 10ft+ board but hard to come by out here in Taiwan!

As the crowds grew in New England, riding a longboard wasn’t enough. My designs were getting longer and more performance minded. Outside take-offs, angle drops, and quick turns were needed to compete for waves. It helped me fight off “father time” and extend my surf life. You’re only “surfing” if you’re catching waves. Have fun Matthew.
