I was kind of surprised at how easy it was and started thinking its going to look like crap but wow it didn’t. Now i understand what its mean the first color to hit the foam wins (i can be a bit of a slow learner). I would like to thank every one that posted something or another about resin swirls and TSaunders for help.
o and i posted a picture of a keel fin i made because i know chipfish would want to see
edit: i’m not done or even close i still have to laminate the deck hotcoat fins and maybe a gloss coat
its a bit off both, the concaves go from flat (nose)single(up to were the front foot is), double (slightly deeper) then out behind the fins (yet to be glassed on) it goes a bit deeper
about the laps well i ran out of resin and at the same time decided to just deal with that when i glass the deck (same resin swirl). So i’m ether going to use a pin line or i’m going to put some color just on the rails like a huge pin line but covering the rails
euskadi what type of board are you making and is it eps xps or pu?
beerfan- i mixed two batches of resin one blue and one white and poured the blue into the white then just squeegeed like normal (but i didn’t wipe the squeegee and i would recommend that you do that after each pull of the squeegee)
