I was in Angleton for a wedding in November, and went to check out the waves in Surfside Beach and Quintana. It was actually a bit flatter than in your pic. Makes me a little more appreciative of the East Coast…
Oh, yeah, the fins. If the plan is to sell from a web shopping cart or mail order, word of mouth endorsements and a gradually building customer base are fine. To get the product in surf shops might require more effort, and a lot of politicking. If it was me, I’d tend to go with the first method. There might be a little less (financial) upside, but the potential downside is even more limited.
