First time; The 10' Glider Project

Maybe try to find yourself someone responsible as a mentor. Ask Skip Frye or maybe Josh Hall, you will never know if you don’t ask… Tell them you are a Swaylocks user.

it was paul jensen with similar racks i believe?

Heh, well I've jumped the gun. His blackberry been having problems, went to go see him today, he's ranked #13 in the world of the ITSA, (International Tandent Surfing Association).
His name is Travis Long, nice friendly guy, been shaping for 22 years and surfing for 28, made around 2500 boards. I'll begin building my stands tomorrow and pictures posted! (promise) Until then, you all have a good day, check up tomorrow.

Hey there, I just finished building both stands, It took about 3 hours… I had no skills in woodworking at all, my first time using a power saw.

It’s quite rough… because I never done any woodwork before. Well here ya go.

I just need to put it in concrete, which I will do tomorrow, and it will be good.

here ya go

Hey there, I'm back. I'm completed with my project but I didn't take any pictures during the process because me and my mentor were busy working on the board, + I never knew how messy it got with all the foam everywhere until we started. Sanded, planed, etc, and it looks so beautiful right now, just got finished glassing and polish yesterday. Will take a picture in daylight tomorrow. :)
.

Nice job. I like the outline. let me know how it works.

It was great, really really smooth. First time surfing… and I stood up on my first and every wave!

I had trouble trying to keep control of the board, it kept sinking in to the right.

So, let me get this right.  You shaped your first board then went out and surfed for the first time and caught and stood up on your first wave.  That is cool

Haha thank you, It was quite challenging for the first two waves. But keeping my body low and bending my knees was perfect, so was my pop-up says my mentor… The problem I currently have with surfing is the placement of my feet… Any advice?

Cheers.
