Dammit. I rushed thru glassing my board before I rechecked my fins placement.
Now the left fin is toed-in 1/4" more than the right fin. Will this totally fuck it up? Or will a kook like me not really notice all that much? Or will I have to dig out that left finbox and redo it? uuuugh.
I’ll surf it only at rights so maybe that will help?!
Any thoughts are appreciated?

I don’t think anyone can tell you more than you can find out by riding it. Worst case scenario take the fin off and re-glass it back on where it goes. I’d try some other stuff first, 'tho, depending on what it rides like. I’m sure a lot of fins are off by a quarter inch and no one has even checked. Ride it, and report back.
Thanks for the input Huckleberry.
Yeah my boards are always a little off which people would scream “it’s all wrong!” but then you ride it and it’s all right.
I was just so bummed when i saw that. Hope it works!

Sounds like an Obama ''shovel ready job'', get ready to start digging.
1/4" off (meaning more than it should be) is a hell of a lot!
If your board is around the 6' range, that would make a lot more
drag on that side of the board. Toe is usually set to be 2" off of
nose center, independent of length. I would suggest that you go
back and figure out what happened to you to end up with the box
that far off. Did your jig slip? were your dots off? do you have a
curved stringer? Lots of stuff can go wrong and you need to know
what that was and learn from it. You can surf it and re-route the box
later, but that involves sanding down the hot coat, routing out the old
box, re-installing with footballs, hot coat, etc.. Which works for you?
Best luck, you may like it that way, but try to learn from your mistake!!
Thanks.
Now that i went back and remeasured, it is a off because the fins aren’t line up. Jesus.
But that is a better problem, bc i’ll just put the back fin up forward and the front fin back so they’ll line up.
Yeah, i know, my problem is just rushing and not double checking.
Surf it before you fix it so you can learn firsthand how important fin positions are, or aren’t…

i say surf it.................it'll be at least..............a learning experience.
fixing it is no big deal............if you do it correctly...........you won't even notice.
i've done it many,many times....................now boxes...............that's a completely different story.
i like a good, "glassed on fins" board...............the ride has it's own place in surfing.
